I have and old cooey which is sporting a side scope mount (which I want to keep). However the old Weaver 64 scope is beginning to get cloudy. Any suggestions for a replacement scope that can use the same mount?

If it's a side mount for 3/4" scope, I would recommend an old old 'Baby Redfield' scope. They are extremely well made in Denver and good glass.......probably cost a bit more than just looking for another weaver to fit.

If I'm not mistaken, you can buy a 2-pc. mount that allows you to run a 1"-tubed scope. I did one for a farmer friend about 10 years ago, Cooey 60. I believe I bought the required stuff to mount it @ Epp's. Unless you're after an old-school look/keeping it "OG", I'd go this route myself.

As for the scope itself-lots of options. I look for scopes with adjustable objective, and make sure they can "focus" down to under 50 yards. If you search the EE under "AO", usually a number of options will be there. Not TOO common to find AO scopes down under 12X or so on the top end, so have a sense of how much magnification you're after...and wait for the right candidate. (if searching used) The higher magnification options will work too, but may look too wonky on the Cooey and/or eye relief could be an issue when tethered to the geometry of those side mounts.
