Hi everyone,

I bought 100 rounds of Blazer aluminum casing in 9mm, 13 of those failed to extract. I'm not sure if it is and ammo problem or extractor problem.
this scenario never happen before with brass casing.
any advice will be welcome.

thanks

I had exactly the same issue with my sam 1911 and blazer aluminum. My guess is that the aluminum expands a little more than brass under pressure and jams in the chamber. That pistol was flawless with anything brass.

Blazer aluminum cases have a reputation for jamming in guns that are otherwise perfect. It's very hit and miss and more about the individual gun than the model in particular.

Try some brass cased ammo and I bet you'll have zero issues.

Walthers also have a reputation for being extra tight so if this is new gun don't stress it either.

Walther and HK handguns have a stepped chamber, this failure is very common with aluminum casing and stepped chambers. As stated in the HK user's manual , ' avoid shooting aluminum casing' in your handgun. This applies for Walther handguns as well. I am sure this is in your user's manual somewhere.
Plus why shooting that POS ammo? spend the extra 3 bucks and buy the real thing, you will be a lot happier with the results.

I was shooting blazer aluminum in my CZ and my G17 and my CZ did the same a couple of times. I could see a ridge on the the aluminum where it got caught. Since I stuck to brass it hasn't failed since.
