Got a new Norinco Jw 20 and noticed while cleaning it up that the cartridge guide in the receiver (part held in by an S spring) was in pretty tight. I had to tap it pretty hard to get it out and that's when I saw that it fits into two slots machined into its cavity in the receiver.. After cleaning the cosmoline and filing the top sides a bit, it went in easier but is still tight. I am not sure how the action works for this gun but I suspect the part has to slide when the bolt hits it.

Can someone describe what theirs is like, does it move with just your finger or does it seat tight when it is all the way in. If so, I have some more filing to do.

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't move. The only reason it is a separate piece I am fairly certain, was to manufacture it easier.

Most guys complain about how loose the Chinese parts fit. Personally, I figure you should quit filing a while ago....

Thanks guys. It was really really tight where you had to bang it out with a hammer. I only filed it enough to make it smoother going in. It is still nice and tight but I hope I didn't mess it up. I was watching a takedown on youtube and the original browning guide popped out as soon as the spring was released which made me think it was an issue. Unfortunately I don't have a real SA 22 to compare against. It is hard with the chinese rifles to tell what is done correctly and what isn't.
