A friend of mine had inherited a couple of rifles from his grandfather. I took a look and one of the rifles was a Browning BBR in 300 WM. Nice looking rifle and very interesting bolt for a Browning. The problem is that he has lost the magazine and would like to get another (and possibly spare).

If you're not familiar with it, it has a type of trap door release that a removable mag would clip on to and then be put back in service once the trap door is swung closed again.

Any idea where he could get a replacement?

Thanks in advance!

I have one, in .270 Win. Best shootin' rifle I own.

Numrich gun parts - in U.S.A. It seems they have a stock of factory mags for the 300 WM. I see they also show stock now (they didn't before) for my .270, perhaps I should pick up a spare, but they also show listings for instock for the 300 WSM's and 300 UltraMags. But as I recall, they won't ship to Canada, so you may have to get somebody like IRunGuns or another authorized importer/exporter to handle that for you. Check the link: https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Browning-33164/Rifles-35561/BBR-38574.htm?page=4 . Sorry, I didn't have time to explore their whole site, but I've looked at it or similar before and found the "we won't accept orders from Canada, etc.".

Might be worth your time to check it out.

They are a good rifle with an almost indestructible bolt. My son had the exact rifle. The two negatives are the weight and for whatever reason these have a reputation for the stock cracking. The one my son had was very accurate. I believe these were made before big cost cuts came to browning. Good luck finding a mag for it.
