I've ordered the tapco fusion kit with the 20 round mag for my norc sks and I'm wondering does anyone have experience pinning these mags? I'm having the parts shipped near the border so I can go over and pin the mag before I bring it back. I understand that it is plastic mag so I'm thinking of jb welding a small metal plate inside the mag, then drilling through the mag and the plate to rivet it to prevent the rivet from splitting or otherwise cracking the magazine. Any suggestions, ideas, or better yet, experience to share?

Thanks!

PM TW25B he is bringing them in already pinned. I have a spare if you want to buy. Done with a rivet throught the side

Thanks for the info...my order is in and the goodies are en route...the fusion kit actually comes with the 20 round mag so I just need to make it legal. I guess if I can't figure it out I can just leave it down there and buy one from TW25B.

And, of course, the CBSA is a power unto itself, so whatever you do might or might not be accepted when you arrive at the border.

I think you can import it without a pin as long as it is disassembled, and then pin it once you have it in canada.

not anymore- they will confiscate a mag body as easily as an unpinned mag- point is , when it arrives at the border, it has to meet their idea of a pinned mag- anything else- confiscate
