Help on purchasing a 629

staining on these don't mean anything, one box of ammo , and not cleaned , they look like crap.
I would be more intersested in something like this if it was a good early 29 , hi-gloss blue is how these should be.
That's just me. What I find off is your remark about a bad drag mark on the cylinder?, is that what you said?
hard to say much without seeing the thing., 800.oo is no great deal, I have new 686 for that
the 29's sell in the 1000.oo + in great shape.
Holsters do not add to the value, find it you want them, a shoulder rig is not legal at a lot of ranges, great for carry, if you can do that.
Ammo, new O.K. , reloads, Just what ever the brass is worth,
I think you did right in passing , with out more info , any one that says like new, and it it is not , and it is loose is not someone you want to deal with , unless the price is great (500.oo?)

BTW, if there bad brag mark on the cylinder, that could effect the lock up and timing, if it is messed up, can happen from playing cowboy, if he is a trapper, that could be hard on it .

Basically a major dragging marks, or grooving where the center cyl pin goes into the frame.
I passed. I am planning on buying new.
