Help , On the learning curb ........ US869/870

May be I mixed up but can't find any data in old reloading manuals regarding US869.

Is its same as 870 hogdon or they are two different powders.

Both are slow burning but can't find data on both, the same caliber. So I'm missing something ?

H 870 was discontinued several years back. US 869 was kind of it's replacement, but it is not the same powder. I've never used it but am told that it is close to H 870. Only up to date manuals will list US 869.
