Help on value of Baikal Made in USSR

Any help is appreciated. It's a 12 gauge top and bottom, selective barrel, single trigger and very clean and shiny bores. Made in USSR.
Nick in butt pad at edge of wood as seen in photo. I don't think it's had many rounds through it.

A very nice low round count IJ27E marked "made in the USSR " just sold on here last week. It had double triggers instead of single but it had ejectors. It sold for $400.00 shipping included.

You evidently haven't looked at an older USSR stamped (not Russia stamped) model IJ27. They are not crudely made and they are not a bad handling gun at all. Don't lump all Baikal's together.

A single trigger usually adds a bit to the value but it all depends on the shooter. Many prefer double triggers.
 
The older IJ12 is even a nicer Soviet era made BAIKAL. The IJ27 is nice too. They are not crude just course and strong. Situation: world travel on a bird hunt safari chasing all of the winged greats ie: pheasant, sharptail, doves guinea fowl etc with limited access to gunsmiths I would take the Baikal every time. They don't quit.

Thanks gunaholic, madtrapper and others, I've never owned an O/U before and to me it's a real nice piece. Sometimes I think people don't give honest price evaluations hoping the item ends up on the EE cheap.
I think I'll hang onto it for a while at least.
 
I don't really think CGNers are that slimy. You could ask ten different guys and get ten different values. Many are not giving an appraisal but stating what they would pay for it. BTW, check that the safety is functional, I've had two USSR era Baikals single shots that the crossbolt safety did not work on. Different design altogether but doesn't hurt to check.

I'm not say all, or these individuals, but there's slimy everywhere you look. All you have to do is list something on the EE and the lowball offers start rolling in.
 
The bores should be shiny, they're chromed.

I love my "Baikal". My only ##### is that the recoil pad is harder than a frozen hockey puck!
The first one I had came with ejectors; but after decades of having extractors I'm used to opening the action in such a position that I'm looking at the bases of the shells.
With extractors, this means I can quickly flick the empties out and drop fresh shells in, with ejectors, this means I get 2 briskly moving, spent hulls in the face.

Yes, I know, with a slight twist the spent shells sail beautifully over my right shoulder, like poetry in motion... And it'd be that way for a few rounds, until I'd crack the barrels, as I looked at the breech and BAP I'd get two more in the face.

Luckily Valery was very understanding, and we made a trade for the model with plain extractors.

Oh, and mine also came with an extra set of mainsprings, does yours have that too?
