ive found a lithgow nineteen seventeen lee enfield mk.one number three (my numbers arent working) with a great bore, magazine cut off etc basically pre-refurbishing, the wood is nice etc etc its a beauty, they want 650 for it.. seems high to me what do you guys think...my second hopeful acuisition in my new enfield addiction..

If it is absolutely original, unmolested, never rebuilt, it would be an uncommon specimen. Price is high, but if it is a superior rifle, perhaps the premium is justified. Ifit has been worked over in any way, the price is much too high. Look at the prices being paid for the crisp No. 4 Mk. 2 rifles, on the basis of condition, given that they have little historical significance.

I recently bought a 1918 Lithgow (A prefix) with refinished metal, new barrel and crappy wood for $225 (bolt and receiver match as does the crappy wood), while there is a difference between the two I wouldn't think there's a $400 difference, unless there's something unusual about the one you're looking at.

Way over priced!

I wouldn't go higher then $250, if...it is minty and complete.

FFS there is a recession going on, what is with the insane gun prices?

If it is pristine, all matching with nice wood it is worth it.Especially if it has queensland maple. The ones selling for 350 that are refurbed by india are junk.
Any war dated no1 mk3 in mint condition and never factory repaired are scarce.
