Here's my red dot on my shorty. Eotech 552 and Eotech 3x magnifier on FTS mount.

I see that www.tacticalimports.ca has a hensoldt red dot on sale for 499.00. Is anybody using one if these on their m14 type rifle?
These hensoldt's are supposed to be military issue and I would presume tough and reliable. They are in use by the German military.

There is a distinct lack of reviews and demo's on YouTube for this red dot. If anybody has one I would like to know what you think of them.

Comes with 30mm picatinny ring and x2 magnifier that screws into the rear aperture. There's a Red/Green dot version and a Red dot only version as well. Size and intensity of the dot are adjustable.

How do you like the eotech setup with the magnifier? Is it to close to your eye when shooting?

It works fine for me- I haven't been kissed by the magnifier yet. I could run the whole set up a little farther forward on the rail, but don't see the need. I was at the 300m range the other week and it worked like a champ.
