Help Please... Pre 81 Browning BLR Clip

Hey everyone, my name is Stephen and I am from Alberta. Well tonight I was gifted with a Belgium Browning BLR. Unfortunately my father in law could not find the clip. I am looking all over for one and willing to spend the money to buy it. Any suggestions would be great. Also in the mean time can I load the ammo manually in the blr and if so can how many rounds. Thanks everyone.

What Caliber is it? Long or short action?

You can load manually, one at a time...?not sure what you mean?

Hello sorry for the confusion. I meant to say I can load a round directly into the chamber with out using a clip, correct?

Its a short action and in 308

Looked on the EE for you but didn't see one. They're hard to find and rarely cheap.

Yes you can drop them in the chamber one at a time if you want to try it out.

Hopefully someone will PM you with a magazine for you!

Do a net search for a Belgium Browning BLR magazine, not a clip. They're running a bit over $100US, Stateside. Same mag for either .243 or .308.

Yup ... I've seen them go for up to $200 depending on condition.
