Cannot find my Hornady manual. Just picked up 300 of Hornady's 22 CAL
60 GR SP and would like to see what kind of varmints are out there tomorrow morning.
Brass all ready to rock.
Got lots of primers.
never loaded this one before and would hope some one could help me out.
Powders on hand are H335 , Benchmark and Ramshot TAC

Thank you in advance

website for hodgdon does not give the 60 Grain but will check again

all they have in the 60 GR is the v-max and their data says

60 GR. HDY V-MAX Hodgdon H335 .224" 2.250" 22.5 2910 43,700 CUP 24.0 3075 50,600 CUP

What cartridge?
"...have in the 60 GR is..." That'll do. Load for the bullet weight. Who made it doesn't matter. Mind you, you have to work up the load, not just pick one, and sight in.
"...would like to varmint tomorrow..." Sunday varmint hunting allowed where you are?

Sorry for lack of information.
Rifle is a .223 Remington with a 1 in 9 twist
As far as I know where I am you can varmint hunt /predator control on private land to protect livestock with landowners permission. Lot of baby cows out there that might feel safer roaming the range with a few less doggies following em licking their chops

here in manitoba pest control on the farm is not "hunting" ...
from the hornady book...
60 gr SP COL 2.175

the powders you mention are not in the table in my book, perhaps Im looking at the wrong 60 gr round... do you have the hornady # ?

From my Hornady #1 Vol 6:
.223 Rem 60 gr #2270 SP B.C.:.264 COL 2.200"

H335
20.1gr = 2700fps
21.0gr = 2800fps
22.0gr = 2900fps
22.9gr = 3000fps ****MAX LOAD

and there you have it.. my 7th addition agrees as well :)

Does there show a more preferred powder with which to use and I could track down / aquire???
I always have a hard time tracking down Varget

I have decided to go with 59 rounds of the 69's that I have on hand and have allready worked a load at.
Will try the abouve data for a load to work with or pending better choices of powder will have to go a shoppin round

got back. not a varmint in sight. tried streching out back to a bench 680 meters back of the pit but ridge was in way of targets placed.
top of ridge wound up being 450 meters from bench so a fair enough distance. no pests but did manage to hit quite a few upside down spray cans perched upon the logs
