I've had this bullet puller for about 25 years so I guess it's time it wore out. The cap that holds the shell holder just broke and I'm in the middle of pulling a bunch of bullets for a project that's kind of time sensitive.

Does anyone know if there is an easy replacement for the cap? Is there a pic plumbing picture that will match the threads?

Found a new Frankford arsenal puller on Amazon for 22 bucks but don't want to wait...

I did the exact same thing about 6 months ago. Called RCBS to ask where I could find a replacement and they just sent me a new cap and collet. No one stocked replacements. If time is really an issue, get a new one. Your choice, best price or fast, probably not both.

^This^

If you can wait a week or two, it's almost a given that RCBS will send you new parts for free. If you can't wait for a few weeks, a new bullet puller isn't going to break the bank. FYI, I recently needed something replaced from RCBS, and the part did take about 4 weeks in the mail. Your call if you can wait or not.

A Frankfurt cap will fit, if you can borrow, or one is quicker to get.....
Also, when getting the new one, give it several wraps of electrical tape for added support during its life....

I got a free replacement cap from a vender at a gun show that sells reloading stuff. Not sure if this will help you.
