Hi, I have a Norinco HP9 (rem 870 cloe) that I need help with.
I am trying to change the safety for a Jumbo S&J item.
Ive watched the you tube videos, but think mine is slightly different.
I push the pin out, slide the spring, but there appears to be no ball bearing detente, and the safety won't slide out, even ifi give it a good tap.
Also, when I install the S&J mag extension - the sling loop does not sit securely against the barrel, but loosely rattles about.
Can anyone help
Thanks

Generally, when installing Rem 870 stuff on Norinco's, all parts require fitting. And the hardest part of the installation is getting the thing apart. Hammers aren't required either.
Marstar doesn't seem to have the exploded drawings on their site, so give 'em a call and ask about getting one. Wonm't tell you how to get the parts out, but you'll be able to see how they go together.

I've tried replacing the HP9 safety with a lefty Rem 870 one, and it's not similar enough. It simply wouldn't stay in place, it would end up rotating and then sliding out. I gave up on it and went back to the stock one.

The ball bearing should be in there, might be just really snug.

it will work no problem, the issue is the ball bearing it likely stuck In then, give it good smack.
also #### the hammer when you do the change out, there trigger should move forward just a little and this will help not catch the safety.
the nork trigger guard is now plastic and molded so it has rough mold lines on the inside, which mag course the spring or ball bearing to stick.
once installed its not an issue

+1 mag
some times the plate thickness changes, due to heat when laser cut, if tis too loose for you, send the mag and plate back and we will get you one that tighter.

Hmmmm.... so is the lefty safety different? Because I could not get it to stay in place. It would seem fine, but after cycling a few rounds through it always rotated out of position such that the detent wasn't holding it in anymore. Suggestions?
