A question for you guys that are more up to speed on handguns than myself!!

What would a 9mm S&W model 39 nickel plated, low round count with factory box and papers, and in very very nice condition be worth?

Thanks

Depends if it's a 39-1 (steel frame) or a 39-2 (alloy frame), condition of the nickel and if it's still prohib or a re-registered Restricted with a legal barrel.
I see them from time to time priced from $650 to $1000.
They are very collectible, renowned for accuracy, and are the 'mother' of all subsequent S&W auto's.

39-2, Restricted, nickel is mint, original box and paper. Only marks are 2 small round discolorations on the frame which may polish off, haven't tried. The rosewood grips look like a bit of the finish is flaked off on one of the corners. Other than that its mint. Previous owner was a collector friend of mine.

If I had one like that here, I'd try for $600, but I'd probably grab the first offer over $500 that appeared, maybe $475....:) I've sold a couple like that over the last ten years, but they are getting scarcer.
