I have a savage 340v chambered in 225 the firing pin hardly hits the primer just barely enough to mark and certainly NOT enough to detonate, wondering how to adjust the striker to come out further when released!

IIRC, the firing pin is adjusted via threads, and held from unscrewing with a half moon piece round on the outer side, square in the Centre. If that piece is missing, the firing pin can back off each time the bolt is cycled.

That piece was there but I had to turn it in a turn or two, now the firing pin strikes nicely!

Just don't lose that piece!! The firearm will function without it until the pin backs off. Ask me how I know.....lol.

I have made a few of those lil buggers for others now.
