Help shooting in the cold

With the past 2 weeks we've had, the cold falls in secondary to trying to get fields clear. 2 weeks ago on Saturday I shot at our club and walked on grass, right now that grass has 3' of snow on it and another foot due this evening. Average highs have been in the -7C to -15C range, -7C, no wind and sunny isn't bad to shoot, -15C & Cloudy or any wind, forgetaboutit. You also have to realize, -10C in Moncton and -35C in Parry Sound feel about the same.

My attire for splitting wood is usually different than clay shooting. A short LOP would be needed for that get up.

Not if you have arms like a gorilla! :p I was using my old Savage 620A the other day with that "get up". Worked great, hardly felt any recoil! :) Summer time comes, I get out the autoloaders. ;)

We moved it up to the trap field for the winter, all machines are on platforms, staging, picnic table or in a 'house'. Ran it this way last winter also without problems, except for snowshoeing out to the machines in the field :)

We shoot Compact Sporting on Sundays, more than welcome to come shoot.
