Help sourcing a Savage 93r17 FVSR: Got it!

I have been browsing around looking for one of these, Wanted to pick one up before spring. Searched everywhere so I was hoping one of you guys might know something I don't or have better interweb search skills, THIS IS NOT A WTB AD just a need help locating ad

Also does anyone have one and can they tell me about it? pros cons and such, Thanks!

the only thing I don't like about these is the stock. The comb is way too low. Can't get a decent check weld when aiming through the scope.

My 93r17 hates Winchester ammo. Not sure if that's the ammo or the gun. No issues with CCI or Hornady.

I have an FV-SR in .22lr I really like, but to make the stock OK for scope use (without straining your neck) you need some kind of riser. I have one of these on mine; http://www.accu-riser.com/products/Accu%2dRiser-Monte-Carlo-Comb-Raiser.html and it's worth every penny. The alternative was a Boyd's stock, but that kills $200 by the time the dust settles. Did that on another gun, wasn't that keen on dumping another $200 into a $250-ish gun.

Oh...and since I couldn't find the Savage 9317 FV-SR, I bought a Marlin. I've had Savage and CZ HMRs over the years...figured I'd give Marlin a chance.

I picked up 2 FV-SRs today at P&D. One in .22LR and the other in .17HMR. I didn't notice if they had any others though sorry. I can't wait to try the pair out!!

Have you tried Wholesale Sports in Calgary? Bought 2 rifles from them in the last month. Seem to have stuff nobody else has at reasonable prices. If anybody needs .22 ammo. Canadian Tire McLeod Tr/Southland Dr have plenty of Remington Golden Bullets 525 pak and Federal RN Solids. $45. though.

Well I got one today, My dad was on his way home and pulled into avonlea, I had them set the rifle, 2 cases of 9mm and case of .17 set aside for him to pick up, the rifle ended up being $30 more then the price I was quoted by e mail and confirmed on the phone when I called on friday so I sent them an e mail tonight a little ticked off because the salesmen shrugged my dad off when he told him he had quoted me a different price. So I sent the e mail with the price quoted along with the one I sent, So tomorrow we'll see what becomes of it. but anyways here she is!
