Hi,

first, sorry my English is not perfect...

i need help about my 1911, there the situation : last week I was at the shoooooting range and I had a fte (fail to eject), the brass jam between the barrel abs the slide. It was not he last ammo of the mag. So I just remove the mag normally and remove the brass with a pencil. But I was unable to pull or push the slide. At home I began to disassembly and 3 problems doesn't alloy me disassembly :

1 - not able to remove the barrel bushing because the recoil spring guide.
2 - not able to remove the safety lock, the slide is not closed.
3 - not able to pull out the slide stop, the slide is not at the right place.

my only solution is to cut the slide stop and remove the pin to release the slide or bring to a gunsmith...

If you have any solution it will be appreciated.

Thanks,

i had similar problem with an open gun. The cause was the link pin under the barrel twisted causing the barrel to jam in the slide. My fix, took rubber mallet and hit slide til it closed. Ya sounds scary. Or take it to a deceant gunshop, they can get it apart for you.
