Help to identify a Remington shotgun barrel

I hope someone can help me out. I just purchased a 23" 870 barrel for turkey season. I recieved the barrel but there are no markings saying it is for an 870......I'm sure I cannot install a 1100 or 11-87 barrel on my 870 so how can I be sure? the only markings are 12ga 2 3/4",3" or 3 1/2"

Did whoever you bought it from tell you it was for an 870? Have you tried it?
Go here, click on '870' and look at the 'barrel extension' And 870's is much shorter than an 1100's(an 11-87's is the same as an 1100). Nice, big, clear, exploded drawings. http://stevespages.com/remington.html
 
Thanks, I'll post a pic....I think my big question is...if the barrel can take a 3 1/2 inch shell, can I still put in on an 870 with a reciever that's only a 3" as long as I only put 3" shells through it?
 
I think it's the super magnum 23" turkey barrel with tru glow sights.....it will work in a regular 870 3" reciever as long as I only use 2 3/4 or 3" shell? Just can't find any info from remmy on this.....want to make sure before I install and shoot tomorrow
