Help to identify: VRI badge with Paratrooper wings

Appears to be on a stained glass window , just a guess I would think it belonged to a member of the RCR that got his wings and posted to Airborne Regiment. Had the window/display made to honor the service

In the 1950-70 every infantry battalion had a parachute company. This could be from the parachute company of an RCR battalion.

That could be, and looks to me to be a one-off by (most likely) a very talented lady with a sewing machine and some excellent quilting skills.

There was a time when guys proudly wore nylon windbreakers or wool jackets with leather sleeves. CANEX sold both styles for a long time, and they had a big CANADIAN FORCES CANADIENNES embroidered across the back. I would not be surprised if this crest is something from that fashion-era.

And holy cow! What an old thread to be dredged up in 2022.
