I'm a proud owner of a 18" barrel Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm looking to pick a powder for it. I'll be shooting 143 eld-x and 142 smk's. I want something that isnt temperature sensitive and with my research, Ive narrowed my options down to h4350, IMR 4166 or IMR 4451
H4350 and 4451 seem to have the best results in a 24" barrel (ie being faster), but with a 18" barrel, would 4166 be better? Or would the results between these powders be proportionally the same going from a 24" to a 18"?
