Help translating my K31 troop tag!

I recently picked up a K31 and I am happy to say I got a troop tag. From the looks of it, the soldier has probably passed away, but I would still like to know more about him

Thanks, I guess I am having a hard time reading the writing. I think the soldier was born in 1912, and lived in Biel Switzerland. But I am having trouble with the name.
