HELP, VZ-58 Muzzle Cap Stuck

I'am stripping and cleaning my new VZ-58 for the first time, so I can go out and shoot her.

I got her stripped with some difficulty and went to clean her. I brushed out the barrel and used the muzzle cap as in the directions, although I am not sure why it is needed and now I cannot take it off :confused:. I have tried twisting, turning, pushing, pulling and almost anything else I can think of.

Please help

did you push in the stopper pin on the brake??push in then turn...

I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. They put child proof caps on pill containers so children can not get to the contents as they can not be trusted with them.
Here is a person who can not work out how to unscrew a muzzle cap yet he has in his posession a VZ 58 ? There is a SERIOUS safely issue here.

Damn right he's a safety risk. Only a person with a childs mind would have problems unscrewing a muzzle cap. Children can not be trusted with firearms while unsupervised. How would you feel in you saw a five year old playing with a loaded VZ 58 ?

Smart people do stupid things sometimes. Obviously your parents are a good example.
 
saito- im guessing he didn't have his VZ loaded when fiddling with the muzzle cap. Big difference between him and a kid. We all make those kinds of mistakes or ask questions that people think are dumb. So take it easy on the guy.

PS- you can proceed to eat the F@#$ing peanuts out of my S..hit :D

Let me clairify for Saito as he does seem to have the whole picture. If you bothered reading the original post, The firearm was unloaded and stripped, as I was in the middle of cleaning the firearm (no safety issue).

The muzzle cap does not screw on, it is locked in place, by a little tab above the barrel. How to release the muzzle cap is not mentioned in the manual I got from some helpful CGN members.

Thankfully Jamie was able to help me out.

By the way Saito you were mentioning unscrewing the muzzle cap, you may have been thinking of the blank firing adapter which looks similar and screws on and off, the muzzle cap does not screw on or off.

What is your problem? I asked a simple question. I mentioned nothing about unsafe handling of my firearm in the original post. I own several firearms and follow all safety rules when handling them in any way shape or form.

Well, if it was my 5-year-old (if I had one) he'd already have been taught proper safety and would only be handling it under supervision. I'd probably feel damn proud.
