Anyone recognize it ? Probably Hungarian ?

Chopper.... does it have any other markings at all?
Weird?? It has somewhat of a Mossberg style stock and a Savage mag?
Does it say anything on the bottom of the mags?
 
Wow. I'm drawing a total blank.

Could be a Grunell (not sure they made semi automatics) or a FEG. Or perhaps its an import with Hungarian proof marks? It looks very much like a like a variant of a Beretta 22 auto.

edit: Actually, it might be a "standard" (ie not a deluxe) .22rimfire HK 270 or a variant of the the HK 300 semis with Hungarian proof marks. The action is identical, but the deluxe has ramped sights, not stamped.

Those were all tube-fed. The Stevens 85 was mag fed, but Chopper's gun is missing the distinctive slots cut in the barrel. I'm still leaning towards it being a European gun, either a HK or a Mauser (or built by them for someone else).

I realize that SG, but it's a moot point.
I was just bringing attention to the fact that the receivers are of the same design/shape and Chopper is looking for a bolt for the above rifle (and he is possibly a machinist...) :cheers:

Pored through gun manufacturers' codes, and can't seem to find KC...KKC is Krico.

I'm curious m'self about what you've got there... I hate to suddenly find a use for the registry, but if this one was registered, there may be some info to be had from them. I like the rt.side cutaway on the forestock.

I think you've nailed it. A Google image (advanced) search on "Krico rimfire rifle semi-auto -ruger" turns up some rifles that are very close to Chopper's mystery rifle. The challenge is, it appears that Voer, Sako, Krico and Stevens (among others) made a very similar gun. Or they licensed the design from each other. It might be the European equivalent of a JC Higgens/Sears Roebuck type deal.

The Krico 301 is as close as I could find.
 
re-vive

Was just doing some searching on a couple of older Savages that will be coming in today (23A), and found a neat thread on rimfirecentral...deals with "clakcety clack" guns (springfield 87 n' suggested earlier in this thread). At the bottom of the post, it's mentioned that Krico did make a clackety clack. (a bunch of folks made them)
