Help with 10-22 machine screw size... for top of receiver

Does anyone know the machine screw size I would need to attach the factory provided dovetail rail on a 10-22 stainless rifle?
I purchased a used rifle and the seller has lost the screws.

thread size is 6-48

you wont find them at home depot, you'll need a gun shop and if there isnt one close to you, it might be easier to spend the 10 bucks on a new mount that includes the screws

Thanks! I'm in metal fabrication... I'll call a supplier or drop in at my local Fastenal.
...worst case I'll do as you suggest and pick up a new kit.

You could do what Ruger should have and tap to something like 8-40 and ream the countersink on the rail to match the profile of the new screw head.
Those tiny, super fine thread #6's (being steel) tend to remove the threads in the (aluminum) receiver pretty easily. Ask me how I know
