Hey guys, help would be appreciated with a recipe for Trailboss and .357. There seems to be some conflicting info in the Lee Manual for OAL. The diagram shows the round as being OAL 1.590 yet in the text it says 1.610. I used the following recipe and it was weak. The book calls for 3.2 Grains min and 4.2 max. I shot the following out of a S&W 686-3 with a 6 inch barrel....really weak
Bullet - Berrys plated 158 Gr
Primer - CCI small pistol magnum (only because I bought them by mistake) I was told the magnum primer was anecdotally equal to 1/2 grain of powder.
3.2 Grains Trail Boss powder
OAL 1.610
So I am thinking just raising the powder up a bit and shortening the bullet to 1.580 - 1.585
Anyone done something similar/different
Thanks in advance
