Help With 9mm Grand Power K100 Mk 12 - It Won't Pick Up A Round From The Magazine

Easily knocked out and I doubt any damage to the barrel. U can use a dowel(not recommended as they have a habit of shattering) but look at a 6in 3/8" Carriage bolt with tape over the threads to protect barrel(it should not make contact with the sides). Its just inside the chamber so should easily pop out. Nothing to worry about at all..

I had a squib round with remanufactured ammo last year. I was able to tap it out with no issues using a cleaning rod.

Home Depot sells brass rods..... try and source some and make yourself a squib rod, then throw it in your range tool bag.

I have shot thousands of rounds thru my Grand Power....zero issues except it likes to be cleaned after about a 1000 rounds (Yes ...i torture test my weapons so i know the breaking(fouling point...lol).....yours looks to be a squib which means just a primer shot and no powder behind it.
After about a thousand the action gets "gummy" and slows down the recoil action to eventual failure reload.......One drop of oil on the slide wlll get you back into action but will still feel slow.......my M&P was tortured to 8000 rounds....zero stove pipes ,extraction issues,etc....
Tolerances on the Grand Power are a bit tighter......great gun...great trigger and reset right from the factory....wish i could get adjustable rear sights but they are mainly used for distance or friends who play with it.
I reload all my ammo......zero issues with reloaded 9mm (even Glock brass) going thru this.....approx 7000 rounds so far and only the "gummy" crap after about a 1000 and stove piping after about 1500.....
If you would like more info or have any questions/concerns then shoot me a PM......

Cheers

I'm like you with my Grand Power Q300, keep shooting it, never have even with my reloads.

This. For the cost of a piece of brass rod, you could save gouging the hell out of your barrel. Don't put steel down a barrel and hit it with a hammer. The odds of it getting deflected to the side and contacting the barrel are very high. The threads on a bolt will cut right through the tape if you have to hit it with any sort of effort.

How is it possible that you have been reloading pistol for so long and don't have a squib rod...??

Scotty, I don't know. I just never got around to making one or thinking I would ever need one. I made one today though.

Here is what I used.
A 5/16" length of Delrin I use to make tobacco pipe stem tenons with.

Here is a picture of the round that I tapped out with the piece of Delrin rod. Now I'm going to check the barrel carefully, clean it and go back to the range tomorrow morning.
Thanks all for the help.

I didn't think those bullets had a cannelure! Or did you crimp the cramp out of your rounds? Again, what's the OAL of your completed rounds?

No I didn't crimp the crap out of them. 9mm

You definitely crimped the crap out of them *IF* that ring on the bullet is a crimp line. There should be little to no crimp line when loading 9mm. Maybe I'm seeing something that's not really there? Maybe the line looks exaggerated because of the burnt primer compound? Does that bullet have a cannelure? What's your measurement at the case mouth of a completed round?
