Help with a Cno7 - ?

hello all,

I recently acquired a Cno7 trainer rifle but it is missing the firing pin for the 22. I can not seem to figure out how a firing pin works in this bolt, anyone have a photo of disassembling a Cno7 bolt? Can a person get a replacement firing pin? All help is appreciated!

The .22 firing pin is just a little two diameter dowel in the bolt head. It is struck by what is essentially a .303 firing pin, with the point cut off at the flange.
Making these pieces by adapting a .303 pin, and the .22 pin from a piece of steel - like a drill shank of the correct diameter, or O-1 or W-1 drill rod - is straightforeward. A lathe is not necessary, the steel can be spun in an electric drill.
 
Important to remember that the short piece of the firing pin located in the bolt head must have a few thou clearence when it is pushed all the way forward into the bolt head. As well, the firing pin protrusion must be adjusted if neccesary.
Failure to have the 2 or 3 thou clearance will result in broken firing pins.

Marstar has these firing pins available on their website for $15. As Tiriaq said, just grind down a regular 303 firing pin flush to make the rear half of the 22 pin setup.
 
I have the .303 portion of the firing pin (it is ground to the flange) but I can not seem to track down the .22 firing pin portion on Marstar's site...a little help? I do not trust my skills to make my own.

Marstar never has these parts! The tip from a 303 is not the correct size and grind changes the hardnes and you end up with a non functional gun. I did help a couple guys out last year after they tried this and drill bit shanks. I'll measure mine if you like and email the info to you. Advertise for a new pin...somebody on the Board will have one for sale. Also need the correct head and extractor.
