custom solution to the problem you could prob do with a dremel if you really had to..... but better for a drill press and vice :)

FWIW I think this may be the best overall solution if done properly. you don't want to much resistance, just enough to keep it from being jarred up.

Because it is always with one round left it makes me also suspicious of the bullet feed angle with the last two rounds... Like a bad follower design or feed lip position on the mag. Check to see there is no binding and ensure adequate spring tension on the plunger as well.

maybe hical could just ship a new slide stop and see if that cures the prob?? Rather than returning the whole gun...

You guys both seem like good fellas about the whole thing, and that is nice to see around here for a change. good luck :)

Hi all. I too just bought one of these used.(9mm LTC ). I agree with everyone on the fact that this gun is picky on what it likes to eat. I found the same. It would not feed FP or HP reliably but loves the FMJ RN. My guns problem is that it will not lock the slide back after the last round in the stock mags. Works just fine with the Mec-Gar mag I picked up with the gun. If I put the stock mags in the gun empty and rack the slide, they work fine, but put a round in the mag and fire it and the slide won't lock back. Weird. Anyone know of a retailer that sells replacement magazine parts? I'm thinking I should replace the stock plastic follower with a metal aftermarket one. Any thoughts?

My issue is the slide locks back with 1 round left in the mag. We believe it is the slide lock. HiCal is sending me a slide lock he had in is extra parts.

Check out the links that Bobbynewmark posted.

Issue has been rectified

This issue can be put to rest!

Huge thanks to hicaliber, he sent me another slide stop he had and the slide is now only locking back when the mag is empty.

I set the two slide stops side by side, the new slide stop seems to have the tiniest groove that the plunger catches. This is enough to keep the slide lock from engaging until the mag is completely empty.

hicaliber is a great CGN'er! Again, many thank for helping getting this all sorted out!
