Help with a mosin

Hi guys I was given what I think is a Mosin, but the bolt face is two small for the typical russian 7.62 X 54R it is more the size of a 308 but it is to long, as soon as I can get photo's I will post, any help would be appreciated.

perhaps a bannerman conversion ? i owned 1 waaaaaay back when rechambered to 30-06 ..............worked ok but only fed singleshot mag was messed up.

If its a New England Westinghouse or Remington then its possible its a 30-06 years would be around 1915-18 but most likly 17 or 18

Its in my grubby little hands now & it is a sporterized, 1936 izhevsk, Spanish civil, war 91/30 chambered in 308 win. This ought to be interesting!

Pics soon but its hard to look at. The chambering is bubba's work. I think it was sporterized before it was rechambered. Funny parts is there is no rear sight.
