I received this shotgun for Christmas last year. It is a single shot with a concealed hammer and the break lever ahead of the trigger guard. It’s a fun little gun but it does have one issue. After taking a shot the break lever is really really hard to pull. Pulling the lever breaks open the gun and also cocks the action. Dry firing is just fine and the lever stays at an acceptable amount of pull. But after actually shooting it hurts to break it, it is so heavy. Just wondered if anyone has any insights to what might be causing this.
Thanks for any feedback.

Check the head of a fired shell to see if there are any drag marks from the firing pin. Could be the firing pin is coming out too far. Could also be the casing is swelling in the chamber after firing. This happens sometimes with cheap shells. Did you try a different brand of shell?

Thanks. I have only tried one brand of shell but three different loads. Next time I have it out I will take you advice and check the shell afterwards.
Cheers
