Help with a Parker-Hale *pics up*

Interesting to see the set in original packaging.
That's one of the mid-range PH sporters. Barrel shortened, and ramp front sight installed, but wood is altered original military. The next grade up had sporting stocks (checkered, Monte Carlo, pistol grip) supplied by Sile in Italy.

I have the deluxe custom no4 but it was in rough shape when I got it and could still use a crowning. Still a hell of a rifle ,the PH/Enfield sporters are an especially good buy right now.
If you wanted a rifle as well made as the Custom no4 made now it would be well over a grand. They are also one of the only rifles with a legal 10 round mag although some custom No4's come with a flush fitting shorter mag.

I'd certainly give $250 for it if you were selling, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered more, and unless you need the money or absolutely can't give it space for storage, I think you should keep it.

I had a custom No.4 that my father bought at an estate auction I'd say about fifteen years ago, then he gave it to me when I received my PAL. Beautiful beautiful piece. I'd post pics but I'm on my blackberry right now >< bought the Parker-Hale side mount, bases and rings for it. Finally sold it to Twister of Twisters' Gun Shop in Alberta. I'll put up some pics when I get home. Don't regret selling it cuz I know Twister will treat it with the respect it deserves, but I do miss holding it @.@ anywho, funds went to good use, and have a Swede M96 in the mail, and rent paid ><
