I have this hand loading tool for my 25-20Win.
When I asked about sizing, one source said these hand loaders only neck sizes the brass? But did not explain how when asked.
In this video, he says it will de-prime, seat primer and seat & crimp bullet - nothing about resizing the brass. My original depriming tool also flare's the case mouth, he uses a hand tool he made.
@ 3:50, he say's it's for use with Black Powder only and goes on to say the bullet is held in place by the compressed Black Powder(bullet can't go any deeper) and the crimp(holds bullet from coming out).
Screwing around a .257 jacketed bullet drops right into case with no neck tension, a .258 cast gas checked lubed bullet can be seated by hand, light neck tension.
Bullet profile need's to be the same bullet shape as the end of de-priming tool or the bullet gets seated & crimped at the wrong depth.
I've had the loading tool for a while, the more I screw around the more I think it's for Black Powder using the Cast bullets from the mold that came with handloader.
Can someone else confirm?
The loading tool came with my made in 1900, Marlin Safety 1894 25-20Win Takedown.
I don't cast, but I'm starting to wish I had the bullet mold to go with the rifle & handloader.
I had a new barrel installed a couple years ago, Rifle has been rebarreled at least twice.
