A friend of mine was shooting his Beretta and I picked up one of his empties. The primer wasn't just flat but was pushed out! He is using 380 auto ammo but I think that it is not the right ammo. The gun is marked P.Beretta-cal9 Corto-mo1934 Brevettato Gardone V.I. 1937-XV. I strongly suggested not to shot it any more. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rampage.

that's the right ammo- maybe a little hot, but the 1934 beretta is chambered for the 9mm short, kurz, or whatever you want to call it- over here it's the 380 auto- maybe there's something haywire with the gun

was the primer pushed out or or just cratered around the piring pin dent? if later than it's normal , at least on a 92 series (comes from chamfred firing pin hole)

No, I meen the whole face of the primer is pushed and the pin mark is pushed back so you can't see it. Its a wonder to me how the primer stays in. It does this on more than 50% of the empties.

definately time for a smith to ck it- unless he's using handloads and not factory, in which case he needs to lighten the load up more than a fair bit- this is a direct blowback operation type gun( unlike the 92, which uses a locking block) just like it's 22 little brother , which i happen to have-either way, it's just not safe
