Hi guys:

I have a new to me 12Ga. pump shotgun made by ManuFrance.
I need to clean and lube the action.

I can see from the schematic that the 2 dowels in the picture below need to be knocked out in order to drop the trigger assembly.

To do this:
Do I move the forend fully forward?
Should the trigger be released or not?
Any other tips?

Thanks.

Generally keep it cocked, then put the safety on. Close the action. Now pop out the two cross pins. Note how it comes out - you may have to tilt it into a slot going back in. Just pay attention and you'll be fine.

Here's a schematic of it, I think it's the same type, it'll get you started on the right path and if you have any "spare parts" at the end at least you know where they go...

Thanks again.
It went fine, nothing went sproing.
I cleaned quite a bit of gunk out of it and wiped off a bit of surface rust.

Youtube was a lot more helpful than I thought it would be, nothing about my exact shotgun but there seems to a lot of similarity between pump actions.
Yorgi, thanks for the link, I already had that schematic.

Please look in 'Gunsmithing' to help with my next problem if you have a minute.
