Help with coyote call

Hi all,

I just bought a "M.A.D. Calls custom cherry coyote" call. It is supposed to make howl, bark, Yip and fighting sounds.

I started with trying to make a bark sound. The instructions say to say the word "hut" into the mouth of the call to make a bark sound. It sounds something between a goose honking and a dog caughing.

What am I doing so totally wrong? Or is that how it is supposed to sound? Or are these types of calls not much use?

your fine the thing that will tell you if the sound is accurate is if they call back to it.

Watch some DVD the primos ones are good they use barks and howls the most.

Yotes dont bark like a "dog" they yoddel thats why their called song dogs.
 
Thanks I'll have to get the video. I realize that dogs and coyotes don't sound much alike. I think though that the sound from the call is way to low pitched compared to a coyote, though.

That call is garbage. I bought one too about 3 years ago and I still cant make a good sound with it ( drury outdoors can use it pretty good though)Order a handmade howler call from allpredatorcalls.com. Nothing beats the quailty and sounds from them. IF you need some advice on which one to get, give me a pm I just bought a few that are 10x easier and better sounding then any big name company could ever make.
