Hi all,
Wondering if someone can help with this problem... I have a new-ish (~5 years) Crosman Phantom Nitro Piston CPNP22 that has stopped firing. This is a break barrel rifle ... when I break the barrel open, it's limp because the piston has already been compressed (and is ready to fire). But pulling the trigger does not release the piston... There is spring tension on the trigger pull, but it's smooth and I don't feel any friction like a break point where it would release the piston and fire. I tried adjusting the screw for trigger pull, but no change. Trigger safety switch is working. I opened up and inspected the trigger mechanism and I don't see anything wrong.
I'm sure that there's a way to open it further and to release the piston..? But I wasn't able to find instructions or guides on how to do that... Have you seen this issue before? Can a regular guy with basic tools fix this?
I found the following:
Owner Manual: https://support.crosman.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/203852463
Parts list & diagram: https://support.crosman.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/203852523
trigger fix video:
(does not fix my problem)
and other random web pages...
Any help or guidance would be appreciated!
Thanks all
