Hi,

I have two Enfields in my locker that I feel someone else would appreciate more than I do. So, I'd like to put this out for thoughts/ advice on listing... but I am having a terrible time posting pictures on here now, so I might have to text/ email pics to anyone interested. For now, this is what I have been able to figure out:

1) CN No 4 Mk 1* Long Branch 1950. Missing the rear flip sight. Bolt and body are matching serials. No circular cartouche on the butt stock. Wood is there, looks like it could be original.

2) GR B.S.A.Co 1917 SHT. L.E. III*. Seems intact with bolt, receiver, rear sight and muzzle all matching. Cartouche is removed, with shading on rear butt from a cover that stopped an inch shy of the end of the stock. All wood is there. Has a canvas sling, but don't know if it is a repro or not.

There are also a couple of sporters to move along, but will get to those in a bit.

Thanks for the help folks...

You need to post pictures, The SMLE should have serial numbers on the rec, bolt, barrel, under the rear sight, nose cap, and the forestock. bore condition as mentioned above. Are they a restored sporter? An FTR? Refinished?

You want "help".

Is that "help" cleaning them up?

shooting them?

making them accurate?

handloading for them?

finding parts?

or just flipping them for a quick buck?

There are many kinds of "help"; some are more readily-available than others!

Thanks for everyone that have PM'd with their email. I have sent out a pile of photos, so everyone that asked should have them.
The bores don't look pristine to me, but the rifling is there and twists a brush on a rod as it rolls down the rifling.
I don't think these are restored sporters, but if you send me an email address, I can send you some photos to see what your thoughts are on this.
Yes, I will be selling these rifles, and I should have put '...advice on listing to sell' to clarify. I am not a collector of these milsurps... too new for me.
Thanks again,
