Help with etractor 700 5r 6.5 cm

I am going to make an educated guess on the 'problem'.

First of all I am interpreting the problem to be a bolt that is hard to close and open on some factory cartridges. Apparently this disappears after the cartridge is fired.

If that is the case you may have a chamber that is ever so slightly tight on a go gauge or ammunition that is ever so slightly long on specs, or a combination of both...

Probably nothing to do with the extractor at all. It is not uncommon for ammunition to be slightly out of spec and I suspect that is the case with the chamber simply being made with minimum headspace.

If the headspace is incorrect a chamber reamer is going to be required to fix that. If this is a new rifle Remington should be involved.

I have never seen a factory chamber with 'burrs' on the shoulder and don't know how that could ever happen.

I'm gonna say your exactly right.. The brass has nicks all on the shoulder.. I'm going to fire some fresh brass tomorrow or and include photos of the brass before and after with measurements I think it's in the throat.. I'm second owner of the rifle I did contact Remington and they want it back for inspection

Go and No Go gauges check the headspace. The throat can not be checked with these gauges. I highly suggest you take the rifle and ammunition to a gunsmith... or send the barreled action without your trigger or stock to Remington.

At this stage you don't need more internet fixes.

All is well the rifle is Sami spec.. Turns out the brass is not even close to spec it's 6 thousand greater. I had to acquire some better measuring tools to see the difference in the brass.

After bumping the cases it seems that it's 98% federal brass that's the culprit for the hard bolt turn down with... I tried nostler, hornady,Remington,s&b nothing else has a issue any more since I replaced the bent extractor... All is well this damn thing shoots sub moa
