I need some suggestions with this,

I am trying to install the Hogue fore end on my grizzly and it's stuck with about less than an inch to go to be properly seated. I've tried to oil it hoping it would go, but nothing.

Has anyone else run into this problem ?

Any suggestions are welcome

Grizzly forend tubes are notorious for being just a little bit bigger than Remington ones. The trick is to stop before it gets stuck. They aren't supposed to be real tight in the first place, that is why they are held on with a nut. You could try throwing the slide in the freezer overnight, the steel should contract more than the plastic, but you will have to be quick, because the thin tube will warm up quickly when you take it out

So should I try and Push the for end the 3/4" it needs to go after I pull it out of the freezer or should I try and pull it off to sand? I don't plan on putting another fore end on, but I say that now...

I'd pull it off and do it right.

I want that forend but I don't know about putting a $500 forend on a $300 gun.

But you would put it on a 870? If you want it dont look at it like that. Grizzlys are awesome shotguns I and many others have alot of money into our grizzlys.

That's true. I love my Grizzly more than my 870 Express. Not as much as my old 870 Wingmaster but close. I guess what bugs me about the Surefire forend is it seems to be the only quality option for a light on an 870. I have bought so many stupid clamps and phone cord lights. They all broke.

Look into the eotech one

I had the same issue with a Magpul MOE forend on my grizzly 12.5. It got stuck wasn't coming or going. I placed a piece of wood on it to protect the end and used a hammer to uhhh nudge it all the way on. It turned out fine in the end - it's just never coming off. thankfully, I love it.
