I thought the US had a ban on Chinese firearms.

They do have a ban on Chinese rifles. The ones that were in the US prior to the ban though were highly sought after for custom builds. Even Smith Enterprises wanted them for builds.

Chinese shotguns are still ok in USA.

There you go! A voice of knowledge came through. I think they’re getting the enigma rifle that’s our new 30-30, the SKS. I’ve a few on American YouTube channels.
My receiver had the numbers 2007 stamped in and that’s it lol.

The Norinco / Dominion Arms Grizz/YJ/HP9 series of shotguns are dead nuts reliable and solid. The finish left a bit to be desired but aside from that they are solid. Nothing junk about them. They were certainly more reliable and better built than most of 870s of the time.
