For whatever reason, the firing pin on my Baby Eagle isn't hitting the primer hard enough from the cocked position.

From half-cocked and no cocked it's fine, but every 1/100 rounds refuses to go bang when I fire from the cocked position. There is most certainly a little bump on the primer when the round doesn't go off, so I know it is hitting the primer every time, but like I said, just not hard enough ever so often.

I've used 2 different types of ammo and it's the same thing. Mind you, one of the types I used is this "MFS" Hungarian 9mm stuff that none of my guns seems to like, but those are always FTFs, not light primer strikes.

The gun is about 400 rounds old and there are no other issues with it otherwise.

This isn't a huge problem as all I do when it doesn't go bang is keep pulling the trigger untill it does, but if somebody has a remedy, I'd love to hear it.

Well I cant speak to your specific problem but do yourself a favour and get rid of it before something really does go wrong with it. There service hear in Canada sucks. I had 500 rounds through my new baby eagle when it broke. I sent it in June 14th and they said they never got it until i proved to them they had it by tracking# and signature. Well now its the middle of September and still nothing but lies and B.S.

Dude, its to nice to sell. Believe it or not, I like it more than my Glock 21 and 229.

The weight of it is kick ass, the sights are perfect, I just all in all like it allot, so I won't sell it, but I will most definitely keep my eye on things to see if it is a lemon or not.

I agree the weight and look are great so I hear what your saying. I hope you have better luck then me. Enjoy.

I've heard their customer service sucks too.

I would personally get a CZ 75B or 85B if I were you.

They are almost the same gun, and CZ-USA supposedly has better service (plus the accessories and mags are easier to find.)

If I ever buy a pistol again, it will be a CZ 85B, or a CZ 75B in .40 S&W.

Why dont you check your FIRING PIN SAFETY PLUNGER, maybe its wasnt deactivated fully, reason for the firing pin to short travel.
