Help with my hornady LNL progressive

Ok, so i started to load up some .45 ACP and ive had nothing but problems and it seems that my press isnt a fan. So ive got issues:

When i cycle the press the primer shuttle goes back to pick up another primer, it gets caught when it grabs the new primer. If i give the top of the primer feedtube, where the black plastic centers the tube, it will free up the shuttle and it will snap forward. I got a video of it to explain myself better.

Call Hornady, they have 1-800 number and techs to help you.

Seems as either the primer tube or shuttle is binding, check attacment for loose bolt.
 
Some of the shuttles have an edge right where the primer sits and it can jam things up....hornady won't mind sending another
 
You can also see if there's a burr on the slide or shuttle. You can take a file and round off the edges which may help until you get the new one from Hornady, if that is what the problem is.
 
What they said, and it's possible to push the inner primer tube down too hard, where it will bind the return stroke of the shuttle. Take the black plastic locator off of the inner/outer tube assembly, wiggle the inner up a 32nd of an inch or less, replace the locator and try it again.
 
I should note this problem is new to .45ACP and large pistol primers. I have been loading 9mm small pistol primers, .223 small rifle primers, and .308 large rifle primers without a problem

I have the same problem with mine. I called Hornady on Monday and a new slider is on the way.

The first thing to do is to remove the pimer tube and look down the hole to see if the slider is centered front to back when the ram is in the up position. If it isn't you can slack off the allen screw that holds the top of the guide wire and adjust it front to back. If this doesn't work call Hornady for a replacement.

Do yourself a favor and ask them to send it USPS.
Explain to them that it will get to you with less hassle since you're in Canada.
This will avoid any brokerage fees that UPS may try to tack on.
The only PITA is that Hornady doesn't supply any tracking number but otherwise you get an order confirmation email right away and a second email when the order ships out.

Once your order ships there is a way to modify your existing slide to get it to work temporarily. grind down the area on the slider right above the primer hole till it is only 0.001" thicker than the actual primers. This eliminated the jams for me but unfortunately I ground down the whole top surface of the slider it became too sloppy so I had to add a couple of layers of masking tape to the top surface of the slider to fix it till my new one arrives.

If his slider is stuck then the tube isn't empty.
If he removes the filler tube and slides his finger under it he'll only have 11-12 primers to deal with between the slider and the primer tube base.
I went through that about 20 times last weekend till i got mine operating.
