help with nagant scope mount

Got my toy back from Jason. He did a GREAT job! The scope is slightly offset to the left, but it's no issue. Will post pics ASAP. Hope to get out to try it on the weekend, if it warms up. I'm also making a wooden case for it, hoping to make it look like a military crate.

If he didn't bore sight it, it's easy. Just look down the regular sights(or through the bore) at a distant point, like the top of a power pole half a mile away, and then look through the scope without moving at all. You can get it within an inch very easily without firing a shot.

Hope for some good pics including the angle it's sitting at etc.

What power is your POSP scope?

the mount is from Eastview.ca (got it thru Ebay). it is a MASSIVE chunk of steel as you can see on the above pix. The scope is a 4X from Futong (I think it's a Fitco). I know a lot of guys will say they're junk, but I reserve my judgement until I actually try it. I've had very good luck with NcStar, and Tasco to date, so I'm taking a chance on the fitco as well. The 91/30 is from MoreGunsSupply. Looks like it'll be too cold for my old bones to go out and try it this weekend, but I fully intend to go as soon as possible.

BTW, I'm not expecting a ton of accuracy until I can reload some ammo for it. First go, I'll be using Soviet surplus, and a few boxes of S&B so I can reload the brass. BTW, and favourite loads out there?

papaclaude please don't misunderstand

I was in no way knocking your setup i bet it will work just fine, marine snipers killed a big pile of enemies with an offset mount. my nature is to modify stuff. I like the look of that set up a lot. when i see metal I just want to cut it though. Let us know how it shoots and have a blast.

Hey Papaclaude! You never posted the pics of your mount and scope on your rifle!
