Is there anyone in the Lower Mainland of B.C. with some experience and/or tools that would be willing to help me remove a CZ-858 stock and put a different one on? Perhaps for a case of beer or something like that.

I'm having major difficulty with this.

I see in the VZ-58 FAQ some people have even made tools and whatnot. That is not really going to be an option for me.

Thanks for any assistance.

Go to your car. Open trunk. Take out tire iron. Take metal off buttstock, insert and turn. I will tell you where to deliver beer when you are finished.lol

I bought the tool at Princess Auto which will grind into the hole of the nut, out in 30 seconds. Mine was so tight, no way anything of the above would have worked.

Just ask for easy off or describe it, around $25 to 30 in total.

ghostie PM me and I'll see if I can bring up a heat gun and my long flat head up to the range and we can take it off.

I am having the same problem. We already cut the damn stock off to expose the bolt head, but it is sitting there dead. We have a new ACE stock lying around and just about at the end of our wits about how to remove that thing. I do not understand how tire iron will solve the problem.

weld a nut to it if you have cut the stock already then crank it off

a stud extractor will make short work of this aswell if you do not wish to purchase i belive canadian tire will rent tools such as this

I cut between the bolt head and the lower part of the gun to expose the whole bolt then i used visegrips

That's when the heat gun come's in handy. Aim it at the rear of the receiver wear it screws in to. Warm it up for about five minute's then quickly crank the screw using some force and it should come off. One of my friends co-worker was in the army over there and said that there was some issues with the stocks coming loose. So they would add some red locktight on them so they wouldn't come loose.

I went to Canadian tire and bought this

w w w.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6/Tools/HandTools/ChiselsPunchesFiles/PRD~0581501P/Mastercraft%2B4-piece%2BChisel%2BSet.jsp

This is a set but I bought mine as a single chsiel. Grind the tip flat and you have a perfect fit to the head of the screw. You can put whatever you want on the end of the chisel be it a ratchet and a 10 ft pipe or a wrench whatever you need. Worked like a charm.

We already tried the torch till the screw was red hot. It was still a no go. Now I will be making a trip to my cousin's factory and hopefully he has some tools to take the stock off.

I used the screw extractor method. Worked really good.

100 % guarantee without vice or any other tools, just a standard extention I think, grinds into the hole of the nut.

No need for it anymore, so if interested, PM me.
