I bought some RRA LAR-15 mags for my Colt 6920. I also bought the MagWedge to put 2 of them together.
I do not know how to take the base plate out of the RRA Mag.
Before I start prting stuff, can some one advise we as to the proper and non distructive methed of removing the base plate?
Thanks

I used a nail and it worked great to get the base plates off. You just just insert the nail into the hole and angle it to the side of the mag so the vee nicks in the metal release. Easy, but it took a couple seconds to figure out the first time.

I took my RRA's apart after the first use because I got a couple failure to feeds because of the jagged metal on the feed lips digging into my brass cases.I sanded them smooth so I won't have that problem again.

***NOTE TO ALL RRA USERS***
I also discovered my springs from the factory sealed bags where installed BACKWARDS! I noticed how sh*tty my followers moved and being a new to AR-15 lady I thought they where maybe junk and difficult to load and get in that 10th round. I would recommend others take them apart and make sure your spring end is sitting in the nice little groove manufacturered in them. Some kid at the factory has probably installed thousands wrong because they are EASIER to put in wrong then right!!! I just hate stuff that doesn't work right!!! The mags are great now and I'm amazed how different they feel now.
