help with ruger mini 14 scope mount !

i recently got a mini 14 with ati side folding calapsible stock, i bought a nc star mini 14 scope mount and have no idea how to attach it . It said it attaches to the reciever with no drilling required. There is a slot on the reciever that looks like an exact fit not sure how to attach this ,there is no hole. It seems so simple with a lock washer th mount and one screw it appears that firiction might hold it in place ? if anyone knows how let me know thanks

Slide the scope mount into the slot, tighten the nut.

it doesn't seem that simple there is a metal knub sticking out from that area if i could take pics i'd show you.

You remove the action from the stock. That plate just slides down and out easily. The scope mount slides up in it's place, tighten the nut.

I thought I was the only one that did that.lol
Where did you get the ncstar mount,? Is it for the rear of the reciever?
I have the same setup, with very crappy irons.

the rifle is in a ati side folding stock i bought the package from canton great gun btw happy cant wait to shoot it, i bought the nc star mount with other accessories from vinzer sports for $19 or so , it says it attaches right to the reciever no drilling or tapping seems like a good mount solid well built just have to attach it . i thought i wouldnt need to slide that plate out but as cantom said above i believe i do. I will try that and see thanks so far.
