I agree 100% .. Luckily my Lux has a tangent sight that can be set to 200 yards and like you said, it'll ring an 8" steel plate at 200 yards with consistency.

My 16" Barrel CZ 457 with a 30 MOA base is spitting Remington Subsonic at an average of 1130fps
This is my data for my set targets, hopefully these MOA will help you out.
50 yards - Zero
100 yards - 6 MOA
137 yards - 12.75 MOA
146 yards - 14 MOA
216 yards - 27 MOA
230 yards - 30 MOA
285 yards - 42 MOA
According to my app for my rifle/ammo combo 200 yards is 23.5 MOA.
8" AR500 Steel Targets: Center target is 285 yards, left target 230 yards and right IPSC target is 216 yards.

i have the t1x and shoot the CCI SV. at 200 yards its 22.25 MOA for me plus or minus half a minute depending on weather conditions. 44 moa you were shooting the moon. as for the comment of 200 yard shooting being outside of the 22lr limits, I along with Scuba52 have been shooting out to 300 and hitting a 2/3 ipsc target consistently. its a challenge, but its quite fun. we also setup a 1.5" circle at 200 yards and were able to hit that a few times.

This is all so encouraging! As a new shooter and staring expensive ammo in square in the face (I'm building a reloading room as we speak), these .22LR's are a blast! Can't beat the fun factor.

Seeing is believing.
Those shooting out to 200 and 300 yards should post results to show the curious what you are getting. Perhaps results rather than words can convince skeptics that the .22LR round, despite being known for producing its best results at 50 yards/meters, can also do sufficiently well out to 200 and 300 yards to be worthy of the time some shooters are putting into long range shooting.

what the 20 moa rail does is give your scope enough adjustment so that you can actually shoot out to 200 yards. i zero at 50 yards, and i have maybe 5 minutes of adjustment for anything closer than that.
think of taking a laser pointer and attaching one to your scope and one to your barrel. you want to bring the rear of the scope up to give yourself the most amount of MOA adjustment possible.

9 MOA DOWN from zero
58 MOA UP from zero... this should theoretically have the Remington SS reach out to 350 yards.
58 MOA + 36 MOA reticle holdover = 94 MOA... theoretically reach out to 480 yards.
Unless my math and logic is incorrect with a 20 MOA base just minus 10 MOA so theoretically your rifle and ammo combo should reach out to approx 450 yards including reticle holdover.

How is the accuracy in the 457 for you so far? Does it live up to the 452?
This is my first CZ rimfire and so far I haven't been disappointed. Switched to a Yo Dave spring and adjusted to 12 oz. Thinking about a MDT stock but not right now. Still experimenting with ammo and using up the last 50 rounds of Remington SS. I just bought 5000 rds of CCI SV from Tenda and the first 50 rounds proved to be just as accurate as my batch of 300 rounds of Eley Club at a fraction of the price, no pictures from the CCI SV groups but here is a picture of the Eley Club and my informal benchrest shooting was tiring, can't imagine what competition BR shooting is like. As you can see below after some fouling rounds the groups were tight but started to open up. I wish I had shot two separate groups for #2, a nice tight 5 shot group just bottom of the orange target. At target #6 I was loosing concentration.
