I'm torn between a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 and a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40. They both look like good scopes, and the price difference is about $35. I've hemmed and hawed over this decision. Cheapskate that I am, I'm finally going to buy at least one moderately good scope.
Both scopes weigh about the same, both appear to be built tough. The Burris has the edge in toughness, I think, but I've heard good things about Bushnell's Rain-Guard system.
The rifle, FWIW, is an A-Bolt in .280 which has survived 15 years of an old Made-in-Japan Tasco 3-9X32. Time to dress the old girl up a bit. All replies appreciated. K.C.

never used the burris, but VERY happy with my 3200 3-9x40mm
Exactly ditto here for that one. 3 of us have put the same scope on our rifles in the last 2 years and all love them. HOPE AND PRAY there is no need for it, but not sure on the Burris warranty, but have only heard that Bushnell's warranty is fairly decent!

if you look on Ebay, you can get brand new in box Leupold VXII 3-9x40s for $325 canadian to your door.

Id much prefer that over the 3200

I would go Leupold as well. I own/have owned quite a few of them and never had a problem with them. Pretty hard to go wrong for $325.00 shipped.;)

If at all possible try to stretch your dollars out to get a Leupold like Todd said. Their warranty is great, which can't be said for Bushnell.

tod's rigth, for what you pay for either the 3200 or the FF you can buy a VX11 on Ebay. It's a nicer scope than either, but I prefer the FF11 to the 3200, more eye relief.

Just make sure it's a VX-11 and not a Vari X-11,if you want to get a leupold. Myself I'd only get a Vari X-111 over a 3200, but each to his own. Leupolds are lighter, Bushnells are brighter;)

If you can spend a few more bucks, get a Leupold and you'll never have to worry about the optics or the warranty. The latter can't be said for Bushnell or Burris....both of these companies seem to be hit and miss when it comes to warranty work.
